This Privacy Policy describes how MortgageMath ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit themortgagemath.com (the "Site").

1.1 Calculator Inputs

All calculator inputs (home price, loan amount, interest rate, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit, store, or log any calculator inputs you enter. Your financial data stays on your device.

1.2 Usage Data (Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymized usage data, including:

  • Pages visited and time spent
  • General geographic region (country/city level)
  • Device type and browser
  • Traffic source (search, direct, referral)

IP addresses are anonymized before storage. We do not use GA4 User ID tracking. You can opt out of GA4 tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on .

1.3 Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display ads via Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info .

1.4 Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Analytics cookies: Set by Google Analytics to measure site usage. Expire after 2 years.
  • Advertising cookies: Set by Google AdSense for ad personalization. Governed by Google's privacy policy.
  • Functional cookies: None set by MortgageMath directly.

5. Data Retention

Anonymized GA4 analytics data is retained for 14 months per Google's default retention setting. We do not retain any calculator input data because it is never transmitted to our servers.

6. Children's Privacy

Our site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our site, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
